Since there are so few characters, I was thinking of creating 4 NPCs for indie battles... they would all have averaged stats and wouldn't be able to initiate... but they will be part of the ranking system

Makes sense. Different levels of NPCs for characters' different levels of experience? Say a new person joins and they want to initiate an independent battle but we'd clobber the hell outta them for a long, long time. Maybe they can start off with a sparring partner of sorts? I like it.

Yea that does sound like a good idea. Guys like Calus (sp?) or even Pavidus might be changellable one day. It'd be fun to see how people stack up to some big name npcs.

I was actually going to suggest what Auray just said. I would love to one day test my meddle against some of the other NPCs.

So, as I was reading through my thread, I was thinking:
Have some NPCs usable for battle, like Culas. And why not use some old player characters that aren't dead. Val and Tomsin for instance?

Would be a nice way to get the factions that have no one or very few a little presence in the universe without the RPing.
