I have to say, things haven't exactly been going the way that I had intended back when I began. But still, I can't say that getting my hands on Mobile Suit parts has been a bad thing.
Erwin looked carefully on his wares. With the isolation and limited market caused by being hemmed in, the supply of fresh mobile suits to sell was extremely curtailed. However, with the constant slew of broken machines the business of secondhand parts was booming.
His thoughts were interrupted by the sight of his new "master" snapping a boy's neck for the fun of it.
"I don't think so." Erwin muttered in response the Kraeos gave to the world, that it now belonged to him. The German looked over the piles of parts that he had at his disposal, and the blown out husk of a Draco that he had gotten at a local salvage yard. There was a lot to be done, but he was going to be damned if he wasn't going to do anything about it at all.

Erwin brushed the sweat from his forehead, unwittingly spreading grease across his face. He had been working almost non-stop, spurred on my the sight of the madman who had the world in his grasp. There was an almost manic sense of determination in his work. "Work will set you free" It was an cruel reminder of his heritage, but the work needed to continue to inspire him.
He was aware that he was taking a lose, aware that the sweat and time that he was putting in could likely be flipped for a profit somewhere else. In any other situation, he would have called a person in his position crazy. He had gutted the frame of the wrecked machine, replacing whatever parts were necessary and modifying the systems as best he could. He stripped down the electronics, adding what he deemed necessary. It felt that for every part added, he was giving a part of himself. For every part removed, it was as if he was ripping a part away. Finally, Erwin stood panting as he gazed upon his creation. It’s skin was a dull gray, lacking the shine of true chrome and appearing as dull steel. It was lean, it was menacing…and it was his.
“Man, what a disaster” He let out a small laugh as he looked at the machine. How was it going to stand against an army like the one which kept him hemmed in? How would it survive the barest of challenges? “Well…we have to make our own disasters won’t we?” Erwin finished the last cable, triggering the final connection. A single panel lit up as the machine came to life, illuminated the wharehouse. “Disaster huh…sounds like a decent name. But perhaps something to echo the ages…” Erwin paused for a moment as he checked his Latin. “Clados…it has a nice ring.”

With trembling hands, Erwin counted the money again, and again, hat somewhat able to believe it. During the time when he had been putting together the Clados he had expected that having a machine like it would open up some doors. He had given up a lot of potential sales when he had constructed his machine from whatever scrap he could, there was a heavy emphasis there on potential sales. This was cold hard cash delivered into his hands, all in one go, and it was more than he earned in over a month. Sure, there were some extra expenses that he incurred but the message was clear. He sold to everyone he possibly could and there was barely enough demand to pay his debts. In his mind, the message was crystal clear.
“There is going to be a greater demand getting this thing off the ground.” Erwin took a careful appraisal of the Clados. “Seems a little sluggish. I’ll need to help rebalance the weight. Maybe boost everything else. It’ll take a lot of wrench time, but maybe, just maybe…this is the break I need. I wonder if the ESS is up for paying out some more.”

Erwin grinned as he reworked the Clados, try to get it back into top condition. Of course, he hadn't exactly taken a ton of damage in the last fight but he still enjoyed the process. "That was...a weird first fight." Out of all of the possibilities he had accounted for, he really hadn't been expecting the guy to just stand there and take it.
Erwin had been scanning his sources, trying to pick up another job put pickings were looking rather slim.
"Man, I need to look for something better. Maybe sink some cash into the Clados...or maybe upgrade..." But he really needed to find some work. "I wonder if Atlantis is hiring..."
