Erwin sat in the cockpit of the newly put together Clados, a Draco he put together and modified from mostly spare parts. This was something he enjoyed, tinkering with MS frames and insides. He felt at home in junkyards, yet, cleaning up the landscape of Germany felt wrong. The Mobile Suit and drone scraps from the recent battle littered the ground as far as the eye could see, a sad reality in the time they lived in. Erwin had thought about joining the fight since the beginning, but something seemed to hold him back, not fear but...
Erwin wiped his brow as Clados settled after moving a rather large chunk of a drone with nothing but a rather small beam blast hole in it. It had been a long day for him, moving and separating the pieces left behind from the battle before, and he was about to call it quits for the day. Erwin stretched and scratched his neck, in the corner of his eye seeing movement. The drone he had just placed on a transport truck began to float. Uh oh..., Erwin thought as Clados raised it's right arm and fired it's beam vulcan. The drone took several direct hits and came crashing down onto the truck where had laid before.
Erwin sighed hard. It was definitely the end of a long day. *Beep* Erwin heard his sensors beep, then again, and as he followed the readings it led him over to the drone he had just downed. Adjusting his sensors helped him find what was giving off such a strong reading... a simple black box. Erwin studied the box, which was about as big as Clados's hand, taking readings from it. After a few moments of study, Erwin could only guess at his findings, only knowing it wasn't a danger to anyone, and therefore he could inform his ESS liaison that he had found something of interest.
Erwin spent another three hours explaining to ESS officer after ESS officer after ESS officer what had happened to him. Why he couldnt just tell one person and be done with it was beyond him, but he was just glad to get home and get some sleep before he had to be up in the morning again.
